1. Edit Inquiry

If you're interested in hiring me as your editor, the first step is filling out my inquiry form below. This isn't a commitment to hiring me, but it lets me know that you're interested. When I receive your form, I'll reach out to you via the email address you provide to discuss your project in more detail, answer any questions you might have, and schedule you for your free sample edit.

2. Sample Edit & Booking

The sample edit is a way for us to see if we're a good fit for each other. I'll review a 1,000-word sample of your work for no additional cost to you! I'll confirm receipt of the sample and review it within 2-3 business days. When I complete your sample, I will send you the edited sample, my proposed timeline and cost of the project, and an Editor-Client Agreement that we will both sign. If you have any questions or concerns about any of the materials, please let me know!

If you decide to hire me, we will sign the agreement, and I'll provide you with an invoice for the booking fee. This is 25% of the total project cost, not an additional fee on top of your total.

3. Editing

Once you have paid the booking fee and provided me with your full project, I'll start on your edits! I will communicate with you at various stages of the editing process should I have questions, need clarification, or to provide a general update.

4. Final Product

When I finish your edits before or on our agreed upon deadline, I'll send your fully edited project and any additional deliverables such as an editor's letter and style sheet. I'll also provide you with a second invoice for the remaining 75% of the total project cost.

After a couple weeks, I will send you a follow up email to see if any questions came up for you once you had time to review everything. I'll also send you a general feedback questionnaire so you can let me know what you thought of your overall experience!
