Copyediting

Service Includes:

Copyediting is closely reviewing your work for grammar, flow, syntax, clarity, tone, and style. With this service, I will

compete two passes of your document
provide marginal comments regarding readability, logical flow, and
tone
correct grammatical, sentence-level errors
ensure style guide adherence
check citations and references as well as format for both (academic projects only)
provide an editor's letter and style sheet explaining an overview of my edits

Formatting

Service Includes:

Formatting refers to the spacing, margins, and general layout of your document. With this service, I will

follow formatting specifications from your institution/publisher
ensure that formatting is maintained when converted to a different file type (Word to PDF)
ensure elements such as tables and figures follow style guide specifications
provide an editor's letter and style sheet explaining an overview of my edits

Cost: $46/hour

Mini Formatting

Service Includes:

Citation generators, while useful, tend to be incorrect. With the mini formatting service, I will format your comprehensive references per the specified style guide. This could be a list entirely from scratch, or I can correct a reference list you have already created.

Cost: $38/hour

While proofing the document will entail a citation check, I will not be formatting the references within the document.

Cost: Proofing cost ($0.02/wd) + Formatting Cost ($46/hr)

Proofing

Service Includes:

Proofing is one of the last steps before publication, & it focuses on finding the small errors that were overlooked. With this service, I will

complete two passes of your document
correct minor grammatical errors
correct punctuation, spelling errors, and similar small-detail errors
provide an editor's letter and style sheet explaining an overview of my edits

For academic projects, I will also complete a citation check to make sure each citation has a corresponding reference and vice versa. But I will not be formatting the references with this service.

Cost: $0.02/word
